 Bishop Joseph J. Norfleet

Bishop Joseph J. Norfleet, Sr. along with his wife Maddaline founded the Faith Center Church of God in Christ in Meriden, Connecticut in 1989, where he serves as the Senior Pastor.  He served several years as the Chairman of the Leadership Council for the 1st Jurisdiction of the State of Connecticut for The Church of God In Christ, Inc. 

 
He is the President of two Community Development Corporations:  Channeling Youth for Change, Inc. and Compassion Connection of America, Inc.  In 2005, he founded the Lady Maddaline Childrens Home (named in honor of his wife) in Guntur, India.  This home provides care for 60 orphans. 
  

He is the founding Bishop of the United Churches in Christ, Inc.; a fellowship of churches and ministries within the United States and abroad.  Bishop Norfleet has a heart for foreign missions and oversees 500 pastors and churches throughout the country of India.

 

In May of 2011, Bishop Joseph Norfleet returned to his roots; the Church of God in Christ, Inc. working with Bishop Hester Bordeaux, Connecticut 2nd Jurisdiction.  In Noverber 2013 Bishop Norfleet was concecrated as Jurisdictional Prelate of the Fourth Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of India at the Church Of God In Christ, Inc. Holy Convocation in St Louis Missouri.  He has been married to Lady Maddaline A. Jenkins-Norfleet for over 39 years and is the father of four sons and one deceased daughter (The Late Chrishonna Butler).

 

Bishop Norfleet attended the Hartford Seminary and completed a course of studies in "The Black Ministries" certificated programs.  He holds an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice & Security and is retired from the Connecticut Department of Corrections with 20 years of service.  During his service with the DOC, he has held several distinguished positions including Director of Security and Warden.

 

He is the recipient of two Humanitarian Service Awards.  The first was presented by President Jimmy Carter in 1978, the second, in January of 2003 by the Detective James Matthews, Sr.  Scholarship Foundation.  In 2009 he received the NAACP Religious Award presented by the Meriden-Wallingford NAACP chapter of Connecticut.  Bishop Norfleet is also an accomplished Airplane Pilot.  Most of all he is a vessel and servant of God.

Laddaline Maddaline NorfleetLady Maddaline Norfleet

Lady Maddaline A. Jenkins Norfleet was born in Waterbury, Connecticut. She, along with her two brothers was raised by their mother, Mother Maddie Lewis Jenkins. Mother Jenkins, a fiery, old fashioned, no nonsense Christian women, kept Maddaline close to her instilling strong moral & saintly values. Reared in the Richardson Memorial Church of God in Christ she was active in church work, singing in the choir and service in various Auxiliaries.

 

She is the wife of Bishop Joseph J. Norfleet, Sr. and has been married for over 39 years. They have four sons and one daugher that went home to be with the Lord in February of 2014.  11 grandchildren. Under the leading of the Holy Spirit, Bishop & Lady Norfleet founded the Faith Center Church of God in Christ in Meriden, CT in 1989 where they are the Senior and Assistant Pastors. She serves as administrator and graphic design director for the church. She is known for her gift of graphic design and her skills are sought throughout the body of Christ. Lady Norfleet established the Grace Like Rain Minisistries, Inc., a 501-c3 accredited organization and out of it launched four successful ministries; "Lady M Designs" - a video and graphic design company specializing in Christian publications, a women's ministry called "Grace Like Rain Women's Fellowship", "Healing Waters for Women Retreat" held yearly in the Caribbean and Hawaii and "Grace Like Rain World Missions" - Providing medical, Humanitarian and evangelistic services worldwide.

 

Having a heart for foreign missions, Lady Maddaline travels to the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, India and Asia where she ministers to thousands with signs & wonders following. In 2005 she along with her husband founded the "Lady Maddaline Children's Home" which provides food, shelter and education for approximately 60 children. Lady Maddaline is Supervisor Designate for the country of Ethiopia serving with Bishop Corby Bush as Jurisdictional Prelate.  The Official Supervisor Appointment for Lady Maddaline will be held in November 2014 at the Church of God in Christ, Inc. Holy Convocation in St. Louis, Missouri.  She has a passion for ministry and travels throughout the United States and abroad preaching and singing under a powerful anointing of God. A woman of intense worship and prayer, she cultivates an environment for worship that is totally consuming as she ushers souls into the presence of the father. She has effectively touched the lives of many with her drive for holiness and carries a riveting voice that prepares the way of the Lord and calls men to repentance.
